Gay and lesbian choirs have long held an iconic place in the world of music. Take the New York Gay Men’s Chorus, a deeply respected choral group, who have been “fighting homophobia through song” for 35 years.
Or Chanticleer, the San Francisco based men’s acapella group whose crystal-clear voices will soothe any ears.
That’s why it’s so exciting to hear about the launch of Rainbow Voices, Bombay’s very own queer choir! Singing together is one of the best ways to get to know fellow musical souls, to move other people, to feel good about yourself (singing can do that), and, most importantly, to have fun!
Rainbow Voices is open to all, regardless of gender or sexual orientation. Check out their Facebook page to connect and get more information: Rainbow Voices.
